I recently recieved the opportunity of being the volunteer Team Tiara Coordinator for Girls on the Run, Maricopa County! If you are not familar with this great organization, Girls on the Run is a life changing learning program for girls ages 8-11. The program is designed to increase physical activity and emotional health by providing girls with the tools to make healthy decisions and form healthy self-images. The goal is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental and physical development through running activities. They have chapters all over the country! http://www.girlsontherun.org/
Team Tiara is the fundraising leg of the organization. I ran the Chicago Marathon last year for Team Tiara and had a BLAST fundraising and training for the event. Yes, I just said I had FUN running! :) While training and running, I had a FOCUS 26.2 charm made by HERinspiration on my shoe, it always inspired me on every run! You can have one for any event you are training for!
